How to transfer telephone numbers from Nokia 2330 to Samsung Galaxy Gio 5660?

I was using the SIM card in the Nokia phone, now I've put it in the Samsung and I cannot read any of the telephone numbers I had. What format do they need to be in? is it better to transfer them via an intermediate stage (e.g. my laptop, so I can edit them and keep a backup?).

did u make sure u moved or copied them from the phone memory of ur nokia to ur sim card prior to removing it?
