Why dosn't my phones memory card work in other people's phones?

and first off no i am not talking about my sim card, i mean my memory card.



i have a pantech matrix and it works in my phone just fine, and it also works when i use the converter and plug it into my computer. but i've tried putting it in an lg scoop [[i think its the same as a rumor]] and that one samsung slider phone from net10 because my friends wanted to copy some stuff from it, and none of my files would show up! it would register that it was there, but none of my ringtones or my pictures showed up on the phone! i once plugged it into a used matrix that i got on ebay for a cheap backup, and everything showed up but none of my ringtones would play...but idk if it was just the phone or what....



anyway why wont my memory card's media show up on my friends phones?! and if i get a new phone is it gonna do the same thing?! thanks!Why dosn't my phones memory card work in other people's phones?
with the memory card, it is formated to your phone. The reason you cant see it on a different phone is due to the fact that it is formated to ur phone. To complete what your are trying to do you should back it up onto your computer and then format the card on the other phone and put the media on the card.
