Last night my blackberry was crashing and being ridiculous, so I restored it to its original settings. Before I did that though, I created a backup file using desktop manager. Now I am trying to locate the backup file, but I can't find it anywhere and i was wondering if there was a default location. I am a very, very new blackberry user so I'm really confused. I also apparently can't access my SIM card to get my contacts, it says I don't have any, so that's frustrating. Would those be in the backup file?
Thanks!!Where did my Blackberry Storm Backup file save itself?
They typically save in My Documents, at least mine do. If you have a Storm on Verizon, then why are you concerned about your SIM Card contacts. The only reason I could see that is if you're running an unlocked Storm because if you're a Verizon customer, the SIM included doesn't automatically hold your contacts like it does on other carriers. Do a Search for LoaderBackup (one word) and seach All Files and Folders. You should be able to find it that way and then reload your Address Book via Desktop Manager.Where did my Blackberry Storm Backup file save itself?
You can also do a search for files ending in the .ipd extension. That is the extension of the backup files made by Desktop Manager.
